Program Description
The foundation in Humanities and Social Sciences offers a bridge between students’ existing academic/english level and Year One of a UK undergraduate degree. Humanities and social sciences are focused on the ways people engage with one another in a variety of contexts, from local to global. The research and teaching at Keele University focuses on various dimensions of human experience and the full range of cultural, economic and social challenges in a rapidly changing world.
Students will take courses in interactive learning skills, media and communication, intercultural studies, politics, and social science research. After completing two semesters of this program, students progress seamlessly into first year of their chosen degree in a huge variety of degrees in film, media, english, psychology, or music.
This bachelor’s degree in Education combines the theoretical understanding and practical applications of education with its influences on individuals and society. Students will explore its historical evolution, contemporary issues, and how professionals operate in the education sector. They will also become independent researchers, with the ability to critically analyse and communicate effectively, building valuable skills for a fulfilling career in education or teaching.
Students will also have the opportunity to take an optional study abroad year or work placement year.
