RGU has a heritage going back 250 years and was awarded university status in 1992. It is made up of eleven schools and offers over 300 courses ranging from engineering, architecture, computing, and life sciences to the creative industries, health and social care, and business. It has a student population of over 16,500, who study on-campus and online; notably, it is one of the largest providers of distance learning in the UK. Courses are developed through close collaboration with employers, professions and industry to address skills regional and national needs, and this ensures that curriculum is demand-led.

Campus: RGU has invested £120 million in developing their campus, including modern facilities, industry standard equipment, and dedicated study spaces. Industrial connections: Many courses at RGU offer students the opportunity to undertake a period of work experience or placement, collaborate with businesses on live projects, and attend industry guest lectures and masterclasses, providing them with the chance to make connections and network with prospective future employers.

Post Graudation Work Permit
Post-Study Work Visa will be open to all students, on Tier 4 visas, who are accepted onto a course in the 2020 intake or later. Once you have successfully completed a course of study at the undergraduate level or above at an approved UK Higher Education Provider you would be able to stay and work (in any sector or at any level) for a maximum of two years.

Co-op/Internship Participation
Cooperative education (or co-operative education) and internships are methods of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience (“co-op”), provides academic credit for structured job experience. Co-ops are full-time, paid or unpaid positions. Internships may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid positions.

Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own, and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.
HOMESTAY
There are a wide variety of homestay options available, and our partner schools do their best to match students and hosts according to their interests and preferences. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.
