Robert Gordon University (RGU) delivers a high quality vocational education and relevant curriculum which provides learners with the skills they require to thrive throughout their careers. RGU has a heritage going back 250 years and was awarded university status in 1992. Throughout its development, the university has remained committed to creating equal opportunities to access a relevant and valuable education. It is made up of eleven schools and offers over 300 courses ranging from engineering, architecture, computing, and life sciences to the creative industries, health and social care, and business. It has a student population of over 16,500, who study on-campus and online; notably, it is one of the largest providers of distance learning in the UK. Courses are developed through close collaboration with employers, professions and industry to address skills regional and national needs, and this ensures that curriculum is demand-led.

It ranked 2nd in Scotland and in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the 2020 National Student Survey.
Employability: Whether students are looking for work during their students or after they have graduated, RGU will ensure that students are ready to succeed in the work force. The school was ranked top in Scotland for graduate employability with 97.6 percent of respondents entering employment and/or further study within 6 months of graduating (2016/17 DLHE survey, HESA 2018).
Campus: RGU has invested £120 million in developing their campus, including modern facilities, industry standard equipment, and dedicated study spaces. Students will benefit from these facilities by undertaking industry-level projects and study in an environment that encourages independence and innovation. Industrial connections: Many courses at RGU offer students the opportunity to undertake a period of work experience or placement, collaborate with businesses on live projects, and attend industry guest lectures and masterclasses, providing them with the chance to make connections and network with prospective future employers.


Post Graudation Work Permit
Post-Study Work Visa will be open to all students, on Tier 4 visas, who are accepted onto a course in the 2020 intake or later. Once you have successfully completed a course of study at the undergraduate level or above at an approved UK Higher Education Provider you would be able to stay and work (in any sector or at any level) for a maximum of two years.

Co-op/Internship Participation
Cooperative education (or co-operative education) and internships are methods of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience (“co-op”), provides academic credit for structured job experience. Co-ops are full-time, paid or unpaid positions. Internships may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid positions.

Conditional Offer Letter
Even if you do NOT meet our minimum English requirement (IELTS or TOEFL), you still can get conditionally accepted in the program of your choice with the condition of completing our English program prior to starting your chosen program.
Off-Campus Accommodations
Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own, and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.
There are a wide variety of homestay options available, and our partner schools do their best to match students and hosts according to their interests and preferences. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.
